Say it Ain’t So

Today is a sad, sad day. Dr. Gonzo, Mr. Hunter S. Thompson, committed suicide yesterday.

  • Weird Factoid #1: Hunter S. Thompson was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Same as me.

Maybe there’s more to come…

  1. I don’t know why it cut the link off..but it ends with “archive.html” sorry.
At least my posts aren’t multiple now?..:)

  2. I like that article. I wasn’t even aware that there was a Fear and Loathing-Campaign 04. I think my all time favorite piece of work that Hunter wrote was the Essay on “Security”, He wrote it when he was 17. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of his work…but you’ve gotta have a favorite right? If you havn’t read it, here’s the link

Look for “For those who can’t get off their ass” I couldn’t find the original link…sorry.

  3. I’ll have to look into comments and see if there’s any posted problems at blogger. Keep leaving comments though, ’cause that means that I’m not just talking to myself, right?

I am still rather bummed about the passing of the great Dr. Gonzo. Such a bright light. He lived his life deliberately, and that is something to admire.

  4. I think there’s something wrong with my computer, Every time I publish a comment, It posts three or four times. Maybe I need to quit leaving comments. 🙂

  5. This sucks doesn’t it. I always figured he would go out on a drug overdose, alchohol poisoning, or driving down a winding road at night with no lights on. If you want to read a good book. Get The strange and terrible saga of Hunter S. Thompson by Paul Perry. It’s my favorite book. I had to pay some sort of tribute, My hero is gone.
