Lost

Lost has to be one of the greatest TV shows ever. Last night was one of the most engaging, intense television hours I have ever experienced. It’s just amazing. The show is steeped in all this tension and mystery, but the thing that really gets you are the people. The characters just suck you in… I think the mystery of it helps, because we learn about each individual’s life pre-plane crash in synch with their experiences on the island. That, and the fact that we’re so used to the modern world we live in, that it’s hard to fathom how hard just surviving can be. Anyhow, I’ve gushed enough. If you haven’t been watching Lost, you should watch it when it’s in reruns. It’s a fantastic show, and it’s been renewed for next year, so there’s more to come!

On a more dismal note, Alias is pissing me off lately. I don’t think Sydney and Vaughan have any chemistry any more… and the story lines are just blah. I’m not involved. I mean, sure, last night’s show had it’s moments– particularly with Jack and the nuclear reactor– but it was just a letdown after the intensity of Lost. Here’s hoping that Alias can get back to what it does best, which is rockin’.
